Personal invitation for Infosecurity.be 2015

Spam, phishing, hackers and more advanced types of cybercrime continue to form a realistic threat to businesses. Infosecurity.be tackles current IT security issues and is a must for every IT professional in Belgium.

This year, Infosecurity.be will open its doors in Brussels Expo, on the 25th & 26th of March 2015. In the past years, Infosecurity.be proved to be the online meeting place and exhibition for IT managers and IT professionals in the field of IT security. Along with the exhibitions Storage Expo and The Tooling Event, Infosecurity.be offers market leaders, associations, speakers and other IT professionals the ability to share ideas, techniques, services and visions on current IT topics.

We are delighted to invite you to the Annual General Meeting event, which takes place on 19 March 2015 and will host a presentation on Malicious Documents: An Analyst's View, given by Didier Stevens Security Consultant, Didier Stevens Labs, Contraste Europe NV. The venue is kindly provided by Trasys (Terhulpsesteenweg 6c, 1560 Hoeilaart).

Bio:

Didier Stevens (Security Consultant, Didier Stevens Labs, Contraste Europe NV) is an IT security professional well known for his security and forensic tools, like the Network Appliance Forensic Toolkit (NAFT).
Didier holds many IT certifications and is an MVP Security. You can find his tools on his security blog http://blog.DidierStevens.com .

 

Abstract:

Malicious Documents: An Analyst's View. Didier will guide us through his latest research into malware-infected documents and the tools used to analyse malicious content hidden in MS Office, PDF and pictures. The presentation will include live démonstrations.

Abstract:

 

Cyberespionage: what they want from you and what you can do against it. I am going to look into different cyberespionage campaigns from the past and share also my personal experiences from the field.
I also will go over of the possible things you could do to protect your environment and share some hints finding the attackers in your network.

 

Hillar Leoste's bio:

 

I have been in IT over 20 years, last 11 being involved in IT security in one or another way. My day job is incident handler and security analyst in an international organization and I am also a security
researcher in the Shadowserver Foundation. My main interest lays in analyzing and tracking cyber espionage campaigns.
